The Advanced control room at a glance

The Advanced view gathers every production tool in a single window. Its landmarks are those of video control rooms and OBS: Preview and Program side by side, scenes, sources, audio mixer and transitions, plus Vivastream tools (macros, rundown, live elements, chat, monitoring).

1. The header

From left to right:

←: leaves the preparation and returns to the events list. During a live, Studio refuses: “End the live before leaving production.”.
Organization and event title.
State badge: “Local preparation” before the live, then “Studio streaming” and the live state (STARTING, ON AIR, RECONNECTING, STOPPING, LIVE ENDED, INTERRUPTED).
Emergency, when emergency mode is enabled on this computer. See Emergency mode.
Simple / Advanced: the active view. See Simple and Advanced views.
Layout: the arrangement of the control room (see below).
Live quality: choice of broadcast quality, available when Vivastream offers several qualities. See Live quality.
Checks: the pre-live checks page. See Starting and ending the live.
Start live (red), which becomes End live during the broadcast.

2. The left rail

In the Simple view, the Automation button does not appear.

3. Preview and Program

Preview: SCENE NAME (green header): the scene you are preparing. Viewers do not see it.
Output: SCENE NAME (red header): the scene sent to viewers during the live, and recorded. Outside a live, nothing is broadcast.
View, above the preview: “Adjusts the preview display only, without changing the broadcast video.” Choices: Fit preview, Actual size, Output size, Zoom in, Zoom out.

Right-click on the output: Open output projector (the output full screen on another display) and Output screenshot (an image of the output).

Right-click on the preview: actions for the preview and the selected source (add a source, projector, lock, transform, order, filters…).

Moving the preview to the output is done with Transition or Cut. See Preview, Program and transitions.

4. The macros bar

MACROS shows the macros marked as quick, each with its color. One click runs the macro; its progress shows in the bar. Manage opens the Macros page. See Macros.

5. The docks

Each dock has a title and an arrow to collapse it.

Four tabs:

Control: the emergency card when enabled, the RUNDOWN card (GO, Next, Previous, Full rundown), the EVENT card (title, organization, live state) and BEFORE GOING LIVE (“Sending from this computer does not confirm reception by Vivastream.” and the Checks button). See Rundown and Emergency mode.
Elements: the live elements of the preview scene. See Live elements.
Chat: the event chat. See Event chat.
Monitoring: a summary of stream health and audience. See Audience and monitoring.

7. The status bar

This computer · Studio open: the control room is active on this Mac.
Output · …: the state of sending from this computer (Not started, connected, stopped).
Offline / live state.
Save state of the preparation.

The layout

Layout offers:

Choice	Effect
Preview and Program	Preview and Program side by side (default layout).
Program only	Only the output is shown, large.
Large Preview and thumbnail	The preview large, the output as a thumbnail.
Sidebar on the left	Moves the Control / Elements / Chat / Monitoring panel to the left.
Hide sidebar	Gives the whole width to production.
Full screen	The Studio window in full screen.
Reset layout	Returns to the original layout.

If the window is too narrow, the sidebar collapses and Studio shows “Panel available in a wider window”.
