Schedule

The schedule runs a macro at a precise time: show the countdown at 19:55, switch to the opening scene at 20:00, show the ending QR code at 22:30.

“Studio runs these macros at the scheduled time, on this computer, with the production open in Advanced mode. Scheduling never starts or ends the live: starting stays manual and confirmed.”

Schedule and its state: Active or Suspended.
Activate schedule / Suspend schedule.
Add scheduled action.

Scheduled actions

The Scheduled actions timeline (“3 total · 1 run · 2 upcoming”) shows each action: name, macro (“Then” …), time and state.

State	Meaning
Scheduled / In 12 min	The action waits for its time.
Suspended	The schedule is suspended.
Disabled	The action will not run automatically.
Running / Running (manual)	The macro is running.
Done / Ran manually	The macro has finished.
Completed with errors	Some steps failed; successful steps remain applied.
Failed	“The control room refused the action or did not finish it.”, with the reason.
Skipped	You chose not to run it.
Not run	The time passed without running, with the reason.

An action’s menu (“Action options”): Edit, Run now, Skip, Delete (“Delete “Name” from the schedule? The macro itself is kept.”).

With no action: “No scheduled actions. Add an action to run a macro at a precise time.”.

Side cards

Next action: the next action and its countdown, or “No upcoming automatic action” (“Disabled, completed or skipped actions are not rescheduled.”). When the schedule is suspended: “Schedule suspended: no action will run automatically.”.
This computer’s clock: Computer time and Computer time zone. “Times are evaluated with this computer’s clock, without server synchronization, only while the production is open in Advanced mode. After reopening, the schedule is suspended: activate it again manually.”
If the control room is not ready — Skip and report: “A missed action never catches up on its own: it appears here with Run now or Skip. An action refused because the control room is busy is shown as failed.”

Scheduling an action

First create the macro to run. See Macros. With no macro: “No macro available. Create a macro in Macros first.”.
Click Add scheduled action. The “Schedule an action” window opens: “One macro, once, at a fixed time on this computer.”.
Action: Name and Macro (“Choose a macro”).
Moment: Date, Time and Time zone. “Fixed time in the chosen time zone, evaluated with this computer’s clock.”
Execution: tick Run automatically at the scheduled time. “Once only. If Studio is closed, asleep, in Simple mode or the schedule is suspended at the scheduled time, the action is reported as not run on reactivation and never caught up on its own.”
Click Schedule at 20:00 (or Cancel).
Check that the schedule is Active.

A time already passed shows “This time has already passed: the action will be reported as not run, never started on its own.”. A time that does not exist or occurs twice at a clock change is refused.

When an action does not run

Reason shown	Cause
“The time passed while the schedule was suspended.”	Schedule suspended, Simple view, sign-out, Studio closed.
“This computer’s clock advanced by more than 2 s at once (sleep, freeze or time change).”	The Mac went to sleep or froze.
“The action was disabled at the scheduled time.”	The automatic run box was unticked.
“The time had already passed when it was saved.”	The action was scheduled in the past.
“Another macro was running: this action was not executed.”	Only one macro can run at a time.
“This action’s macro no longer exists: it was not executed.”	The macro was deleted (“Macro not found”).

Then choose Run now or Skip.

Operating conditions

“Scheduling requires Advanced mode, the open production and a signed-in session.” If one of these conditions disappears, the schedule suspends itself and says so. Activate it again when you return.

Schedule card of the Control tab

In the control room, the Control tab shows a Schedule card as soon as an action is scheduled: state, countdown to the next action (“In”), the first missed or failed action with Run now and Skip, the last three run actions (“Done · n”) and the next three (“Later · n”), and Open.
