FAQ
Can Studio broadcast to YouTube, Twitch or an RTMP server?
Yes, but never from an event. A Vivastream event goes to Vivastream only, with no external destination and no multistreaming. The accountless mode streams to a destination you own, one at a time. See Streaming without an account.
Do I need to enter a stream key?
For an event, no: Vivastream provides the configuration at start, and Studio never asks you for a server, a key or a bitrate. For an accountless destination, yes: the key comes from your platform and stays in this computer's secure vault.
Can I prepare an event several days ahead?
Yes. As soon as it is approved, you can open its preparation, compose your scenes and rehearse. The preparation is saved on this Mac. The live only starts with your checks and your confirmation.
Can a macro, a rule or the schedule start the live?
No. Starting and ending the live are always manual and confirmed.
Does switching views cut the live?
No. Switching from Simple to Advanced or back keeps the scenes and interrupts neither the live nor the recording. When switching to Simple, macros and rundown tracking stop and the schedule is paused.
I showed a comment in the video: how do I remove it?
Click Remove from video, at the very bottom of the Chat panel. It also disappears at the end of the chosen duration or as soon as the output scene changes. See Comment on screen.
I showed a banner but viewers do not see it.
In the Advanced control room, showing an element changes the preview: use Transition or Cut to send it to the output. Also check that you clicked Apply after your changes.
What exactly does emergency mode do?
It hides the chosen cameras, mutes the chosen microphones and cuts to the emergency scene. The live and the recording continue. Returning to production is always manual.
Why does the viewer count show “—”?
Vivastream has not provided a recent measurement. Studio never shows zero in place of missing data.
Is the recording uploaded to Vivastream published as a replay?
No. “No replay will be published.” The local file is kept.
My session expired during the live.
The live continues. Sign in again to resume authenticated actions; stopping locally remains available.
Can two people produce the same event?
Only one control room controls an event’s broadcast at a time: “Another studio is using this event.” Other computers can prepare, but cannot take control automatically.
Where are my preparations?
On this Mac, in the application folder, per event and per account. They are not shared with other computers.
