Organizations and events
After sign-in, Studio asks you to choose the organization you produce for, then the event to prepare. The lists come from Vivastream and follow the rights of your partner account.
Choosing an organization
The “Choose an organization” screen lists the organizations where you are an active member with production access. Each row shows the organization’s initials and name; click it to open it.
- A single organization: Studio opens it directly, without asking you to choose (unless it requires a security verification).
- More than ten organizations: a “Search organizations” field filters the list by name. No result: “No organization matches “…”.”.
- No organization: “No organization is authorized for production with this account.”. Ask your organization’s administrator to add you with a suitable role.
- Refresh: the ↻ button reloads the list from Vivastream.
- While loading, grey placeholder cards take the place of the list.
Under the title, “Your access comes from your partner account.” reminds you that Studio grants no extra rights.
If an organization requires two-step verification, Studio shows “Security verification”. See Organization security verification.
The top bar
Once an organization is open, the top bar shows:
- on the left, the organization name and, if you have several, Change;
- on the right, your name and Sign out.
The left rail contains Events at the top and Settings at the bottom. See Settings.
Changing organization
Change opens the “Change organization” window: “Events and permissions will be reloaded from the server for this organization.”. The open organization is marked “Current organization”. Click another organization, or Cancel.
The events list
The “Events” page only shows events that are approved and authorized for broadcast, ongoing or upcoming. Drafts, rejected events and past events never appear.
Groups
Events are grouped:
- Ongoing · n: events whose broadcast period is under way;
- Upcoming · n: events scheduled later.
Event card
Each card shows:

Times follow your Mac’s time zone, or the event’s time zone if you chose it in the settings. See Settings.
Search and filters
- Search events: type part of the title; the list updates when you pause typing. The search runs on the server, within authorized events only.
- All, Ongoing, Upcoming: limit the list to one group.
- ↻: refreshes the list.
- Previous page and Next page appear when the list has several pages.
Empty or unavailable list

| “No event matches “…”.” | The search returns nothing. |
| “These events are unavailable. Check your connection and access.” | The list could not be loaded; no old data is shown as current. A Try again button reloads it. |
Opening an event
Click Open ›. The button shows “Checking…” while Vivastream checks, at that moment, your right to prepare this event.
- Authorized: the preparation opens directly, in the Simple view. See Simple mode.
- Refused: Studio shows the event summary with the reason.
Being allowed to open the preparation never starts the live. You can prepare an event as soon as it is approved, without waiting for its start time; going live requires separate checks.
Summary of a refused event
The summary contains:
- ← to go back to events, the title and the organization;
- the event photo;
- SCHEDULE: Start, Planned end and “Device time zone: …”;
- BROADCAST AUTHORIZATION: “Event unavailable”, the organization, “Verified on …” and “Server decision, checked again when opening the studio and before each critical action.”;
- BEFORE GOING LIVE: “Preparation opens in the Simple view; the Advanced view stays available at any time. Going live requires separate checks.”;
- the Prepare studio button, inactive while the event is unavailable.
An event becomes unavailable when its state or your rights changed since the list was displayed: event suspended, organization inactive, role removed, broadcast period over. Go back to the list and refresh it. If opening is refused from the list, Studio can also show “This event is no longer available for preparation. Refresh the list.”.
Back to events from the preparation
In the preparation, the Events button of the left rail closes the control room and returns to the list. Studio then forgets the last opened event: on the next launch, it takes you to the list rather than the preparation.
