Streaming without an account
Studio can also stream to a destination you own: Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, the other services of the OBS catalogue, or your own RTMP server. This mode uses no Vivastream account and no event.
What Vivastream does not do here
“No account, no event: Vivastream checks nothing and receives nothing.” No authorization is requested, no measurement is reported, no file is uploaded.
Opening accountless mode
On the sign-in screen, under Sign in, click Stream without an account.
Your destinations
The page lists the destinations saved on this computer, under the title DESTINATIONS ON THIS COMPUTER and their count (“1 of 50”). Each card carries the destination's initials, its name, two badges — the service and how it is reached (Auto, RTMP, RTMPS or Custom RTMP) — then the server address. The stream key is never shown.

The frame at the bottom repeats what holds for the whole mode: “No account, no event…”, “Stream keys stay in this computer's secure vault.” and the list of what stays unavailable.
On a new computer, the page invites you to start:
Possible messages: “Reading the secure vault…” (with placeholder cards), “Secure vault unavailable. This computer's destinations cannot be read.”, “The secure vault did not save this destination.”, “This computer keeps at most 50 destinations.”.
Adding a destination
- Service: the list comes from the OBS service catalogue shipped with Studio (Twitch, YouTube, Facebook and the rest), followed by Custom RTMP server.
- Server:
- for a catalogue service, choose one of its published servers (“Servers published by the service, from the OBS catalogue shipped with Studio.”); Twitch offers Automatic (closest server), which asks Twitch for its nearest ingest at start;
- for a custom server, type its
rtmp://orrtmps://address, with no credentials in the address.
- Name: the name shown in your list and in the control room.
- Stream key: the one your platform gives you. Where to find my stream key opens the platform's page when it publishes one.
- Save.
Your key
“The key is kept in this computer's secure vault, never in a file and never at Vivastream.” It is not shown in the list, not written to the technical journal, and never sent to Vivastream.
Possible refusals: “Give this destination a name.”, “Invalid server: choose one of the service's servers, or an rtmp:// or rtmps:// address with no credentials.”, “Missing or invalid stream key.”.
What the control room offers in this mode
“Without an account: no event chat, no audience, no upload to Vivastream. The control room, live elements, automations, local recording and emergency mode stay available.”

In the control room, the Control tab card reads DESTINATION instead of EVENT, with the destination name and “No account · this computer”.
Starting and stopping
Starting stays manual and confirmed: “Start streaming? — The preview scene will be sent to “…”. Nothing is checked by Vivastream: check your picture and sound before continuing.”
- Checks only covers this computer: “Your own destination: Vivastream checks nothing here. Check the picture, the sound and your connection before starting.”
- While streaming, the header reads “Sending to your destination”.
- Live quality offers qualities computed on this computer (Default, High, Balanced, Low bandwidth). “The service's own limits (maximum bitrate, keyframes) are applied at start, exactly as in OBS.”
- Stopping is local and immediate: no server confirmation is awaited.
If the stream drops: “Stream interrupted. Check your connection and try again.”
Separate preparations
Each destination keeps its own preparation on this Mac (scenes, sources, elements, macros, rundown, rules, emergency configuration), separate from your Vivastream events. Leaving the control room returns to the destinations list, never to an events list.
What this mode changes on the network
- The service catalogue ships with Studio and is never updated from the internet.
- Studio only contacts the platform to send it your stream. The one exception is Twitch's Automatic server, which asks for the ingest list at start.
- Nothing is sent to Vivastream in this mode.
