Sign-in and session
Studio signs in to your Vivastream account in your browser, on the partner portal. You never type your password into Studio. Once signed in, your session is kept in the macOS secure vault, so you do not have to sign in at every launch.
Signing in
The sign-in screen shows:
- the logo and “Vivastream Studio”;
- “Sign in to access your events.”;
- the Sign in with Vivastream ↗ button;
- “Sign-in opens in your browser at partner.vivastream.app. Studio never asks for your password.”;
- at the bottom, the session storage notice and the Studio version.
Steps
- Click Sign in with Vivastream ↗. Your default browser opens on the partner portal.
- Studio shows “Complete sign-in in your browser.” and a Cancel sign-in button.
- In the browser, sign in to the partner portal if you are not already signed in.
- The portal asks you to confirm your password, unless you have just authenticated. A merely restored browser session is not enough.
- The portal shows the Vivastream Studio access request: accept it.
- The browser hands the sign-in back to Studio. Studio shows “Connecting securely…” then “Securely saving the session…”, and opens your organizations.
You can close the browser tab once you are back in Studio.
Cancelling
Until sign-in completes, Cancel sign-in stops the request. Studio shows “Sign-in cancelled.” and returns to the sign-in button.
If sign-in fails
The message appears under the sign-in button, which stays available to try again:

| “Sign-in did not complete. Sign in again; the refresh request will not be retried.” | The final exchange with Vivastream failed. Click Sign in with Vivastream ↗ again. |
| “Sign-in address rejected.” | The browser was sent to an address that is not the partner portal. Studio blocks the request for security. |
| “Too many requests. Wait before trying again.” | Too many attempts in a short time. Wait a moment. |
| “The secure vault is unavailable. Your session was not saved.” | The macOS keychain refused to save it. Unlock it and sign in again. |
The kept session
After sign-in, Studio keeps your session in the system secure vault (macOS keychain) “until it expires, is revoked, or you sign out”. No sign-in data is written to disk in clear text.
Resuming at launch
When a session is kept, Studio does not show the sign-in screen: it shows the logo, a loading bar and “Resuming your session…”. You then land directly on your organizations, or on the last prepared event if it is still authorized.
If resuming takes longer, usually because macOS is waiting for your consent to open the keychain, Studio adds “Respond to the system request if one appears.” and a Cancel sign-in button:
- Answer the macOS keychain window (your Mac login password or Always Allow): resuming continues.
- Or click Cancel sign-in: Studio deletes the kept session and shows “Session restore cancelled. Sign in again.”.
If no session is kept, the sign-in screen appears immediately.
Resume messages

Organization security verification
Some organizations require two-step verification before opening their events. Studio then shows “Security verification”:
- Click Verify my identity. The browser opens on the partner portal.
- Enter the code from your authenticator app, or a recovery code.
- Return to Studio: the organization opens.
If verification fails, Studio shows “Verification failed. Start again from Studio.”. Studio asks for this verification again whenever the organization requires it again, for example after two-factor authentication is reset.
Signing out
Click Sign out at the top right of the organizations and events list, next to your name, or in Settings › Account and organization › End session. Studio shows “Securely removing the session…”, removes the session from the vault and asks Vivastream to revoke it.
- If server-side revocation could not be confirmed, Studio says so: “Local session removed. Server revocation was not confirmed.”. The session can no longer be used from this Mac.
- To switch accounts, sign out first; otherwise Studio shows “Sign out before switching accounts.”.
Signing out does not delete your event preparations or recordings on this Mac.
Quitting Studio
If the system vault is finishing an operation when you quit, Studio shows “Closing Vivastream Studio” and “The system vault is finishing a secure operation. Respond to its request if displayed. Studio will close automatically afterwards.”.
