Audience and monitoring
Monitoring tells you whether your stream leaves this computer, whether Vivastream receives it and how many playback sessions are active. Studio always separates what it measures itself from what Vivastream reports, and never shows missing data as a good result.
Principle
“Missing measurements do not indicate a healthy stream.” An unreported value is shown with a dash “—”, never with a zero.

Stream health
The Stream health card summarizes how Vivastream receives your stream:

| Good | The received stream is as expected. |
| Warning | Defects appear (bitrate, dropped frames, latency). |
| Critical | Reception is badly degraded. |
| Unavailable | “Vivastream has not provided a recent measurement. Missing measurements do not indicate a healthy stream.” |
When a measurement exists: “Received-stream summary supplied by Vivastream. Playback for each viewer is not confirmed.”, with “Observed by Vivastream at 21:04”, or “Stale measurement · last observed at …”. Source: “Vivastream · received-stream summary”.
Output to Vivastream
The Output to Vivastream card (with the output state, for example “Output · Connected”) shows the measurements received by Vivastream:

A missing measurement shows “—” and “Not reported”.
This computer
The This computer card (“Encoding active” while sending) gathers your Mac’s measurements: “Local OBS measurements. They do not confirm stream reception.”

Reading dropped frames
Drops on output point to the network; during rendering or encoding, to the computer. Close demanding applications, lighten heavy sources or choose a more economical live quality.
Charts
- Received bitrate · last 30 minutes · kb/s;
- Outgoing bitrate · last 30 minutes · kb/s.
The axis goes from “−30 min” to “Now”. With no measurement: “No measurements in this period”.
Four separate states
Studio tracks four states that can diverge, shown in the right column and in “Four separate states”:

A sent stream does not prove that viewers receive it: “Studio telemetry does not prove reception.”.
Not reported
The Not reported card lists measurements Vivastream does not send to Studio: audio bitrate, transcoding, playback packaging, CPU and memory, reconnection count. “These measurements are not available in the received data.”
Local log
“State changes observed since opening this production workspace.” Each timestamped line shows the state and its new status, for example:

Audience
Audience and statistics opens the Audience view: “Event audience, measured by Vivastream.”

- Observation state: Observation up to date, Last observation is stale, Audience not reported or Audience unavailable, with “Last observation: 21:04”.
- Chart “Active sessions — observations from the last 30 minutes”: “Local chart of received observations. Gaps remain visible; no samples are reconstructed.”
- “These values count connections and sessions, not unique people. They are not a total viewer count.”
- Technical details returns to the stream measurements.
The Monitoring tab summary
The control room Monitoring tab repeats stream health, key indicators, viewers (“Active playback sessions”) and duration, with Technical details and Audience and statistics to open the full views.
Alerts during the live
